The Cloud House, as seen on Grand Designs.

A pair of strawberry-pink homes on Vicars Road in Gospel Oak, designed by Peter Morris Architects. The arches are inspired by St Martin's Church across the road, and the palette by Miami Art Deco.

The tall arched windows, round bullseye windows and turquoise-rimmed doors were made and fully finished in our workshops, from our Conservation range.

"It really would have been a very different project without our glorious windows!" — Emily

Thank you, Peter and Emily, for trusting us with something so personal.

A window is never just glass and timber, it's the detail your client remembers long after handover. And it's your name on the specification when it performs.

True craftsmanship doesn't stop at the workshop bench. It's in the tolerances that mean a sash slides true, a door settles flush, and a survey-to-fit process that doesn't come back to you with problems on site.

That's why we manage the whole process - survey, manufacture, installation - so what you specify is what gets built.

When exceptional design meets expert installation, you're not just delivering beauty. You're delivering something that endures, and reflects on you.

Blending modern performance with historic architecture is rarely straightforward.

On this project, the original hospital building was retained and transformed alongside a 4-storey extension, a new 3-storey building, 8 townhouses, and dedicated student communal facilities including a gym, lounge, entertainment space, and private dining kitchen.

The challenge wasn't simply creating new accommodation—it was respecting the character of an undesignated heritage asset located within a Conservation Area and surrounded by listed buildings, while delivering the levels of comfort, acoustic performance and energy efficiency expected from modern student living.

Planning requirements meant many original architectural features had to be preserved, leading us to recommend timber Box Sash Windows from our Conservation range. The result was a solution that complemented the building's historic appearance while meeting demanding performance standards.

All 109 box sash windows were manufactured with high-acoustic-performance trickle vents and laminated glass within 24mm double-glazed units, helping minimise noise transfer between accommodation spaces without compromising the building's heritage character.

Projects like this are a reminder that heritage and performance don't have to be competing priorities—but achieving both takes careful design, collaboration and attention to detail.

A truly exceptional new-build project.

We were proud to supply and install the timber sash windows, bi-fold doors and entrance door for this stunning 11,500 sq ft home – a one-for-one inspirational new build that perfectly balances grandeur with timeless architectural elegance.

Designed around the symmetry and proportions of traditional Georgian architecture, the front elevation features large traditional box sash windows from the Mumford & Wood Conservation range, delivering authentic character alongside outstanding modern performance.

A striking arched Georgian sliding sash takes centre stage within the impressive office accommodation, flanked by elegant 4-over-4 sliding sash windows. Together, they create refined sightlines that honour traditional design while meeting contemporary standards for comfort, efficiency and security.

The result is a home that seamlessly blends heritage-inspired detailing with modern living, showcasing the enduring appeal of beautifully crafted timber windows and doors.
