Part #1
What do we mean when we say 'depends on size, condition and location'?
SIZE - Our carpet cleaning prices are based on a regular sized living room of approximately 12'x12'. So larger rooms may cost more.
If you are having multiple carpets cleaned, then size variations are usually averaged out. For example you may have a large living room but a small hallway - this can be treated as 2 rooms.
CONDITION - Condition refers to how soiled the carpet is. A carpet that is fairly new or has been cleaned recently (we recommend every 6 months) will be easier and quicker to clean. A carpet that has not been cleaned for some time, is heavily soiled or stained will take longer to clean.
LOCATION - Obviously fuel prices as well as travelling times have to be factored into our prices. We are based in Tiverton so any jobs outside of town have to incur a small extra charge to cover this.

How long will it take to dry?
All carpets should only be slightly damp to the touch afterwards but drying times vary depending on several factors.
1) The weather - during the summer with doors and windows open, a carpet will dry quite quickly. During the winter with heating on the carpets will also dry quite quickly. Other times of the year they will take longer and you may want to consider putting the heating on, opening a window or using a dehumidifier to speed up the process. It is the same principle as if you were drying laundry inside.
2) Condition of the carpet - a heavily soiled or stained carpet will require more water to clean it. Whilst the injection/extraction system removes the majority of the water it will still affect the drying times.
So generally speaking, in ideal conditions, the carpets should dry within a few hours and in all cases should be completely dry within 24 hours.

Do I need to move the furniture?
We get asked this a lot. The simple answer is - it is entirely up to you. Les can clean around the furniture and is happy to move lighter items to clean under them. If you want to clear the room ahead of his visit that is also fine.

Part # 4
Do I need to vacuum before he comes?
Whilst it is helpful if you do, Les always carries a professional vacuum cleaner on the van and will vacuum as part of the service.
It is also a separate service that we provide if you wanted a thorough vacuum throughout the house!

What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel or rearrange please always ring Les direct on 07970376064.
Whilst we totally understand that sometimes things happen, a last minute cancellation means a loss of revenue for us and we are a small business. The more notice you can give increases the chances of us refilling your slot. Messages on Facebook are not always checked in time so please do speak to Les in person.
On the very rare occasion that Les is unwell or has to cancel for any other reason, he will call you to let you know. In the 14 years he has been trading this has only happened a handful of times

What areas do we cover?
Cullompton, Willand, Sampford Peverell, Halberton, Stoodleigh, Washfield, Witheridge, Rackenford, Bampton, Dulverton, Bickleigh, Silverton, Thorverton, Uffculme, Hemyock and many more.

How do I pay?
We accept cash or BACs transfer.
Payment is required on the day.
A paper invoice can be provided by Les or I can send an electronic version later if
preferred.
Part # 8
What is your availability?
Obviously this changes day to day and week to week. Some periods of the year are busier than others.
Generally speaking Les is booked up a week in advance, at busy times sometimes 2 or even 3 weeks in advance. However he is often able to squeeze smaller jobs in and we do get cancellations. So never be afraid to ask even if it is short notice!
Again if it is urgent, call Les direct on 07970376064. I can take bookings via email or messenger but slots can be snapped up via the telephone so if you don't want to miss out call direct.
Les is available Monday to Friday and slots are usually booked for 10.30am and 1.30pm. However we can be flexible so if you require a later or earlier time please ask

Do I need to be home?
The simple answer is - NO.
Many of Les's customers (some of whom he has never met in person) leave us a key! You can drop a key to us, leave it with a neighbour or in a safe place and come home to clean carpets!

Do you do discounts and special offers?
We do discounts for multiple carpets and offer generous reductions for regular customers. We try to keep our prices affordable and competitive.

Do you have before and after photos?
We were asked this recently and the answer is generally speaking, no. We don't post pictures of people's homes without their permission. (You will find some on this page from when we started out and they were generously supplied by friends and family that Les cleaned for.)
