My name is Maccarthy and I am here to show you the beautiful, funny, and thoughtful side of Tamale, Ghana through a Humans of New York lens of my city

Too often in the West, Africa is always stuck in a narrative of tragedy. Ghana is seen as a place of underdevelopment and corruption, ignoring all of the brilliant, funny, creative people that actually live here.
