Apple Pie // This oak drawer table is special to me in many ways. It has been designed in and then used in an ad to promote the app, targeting woodworkers. I really pushed my production capabilities to its limits: the entire design and manufacturing process from the first sketch to finishing it with hard oil took 64 hours altogether, most of it was done through the course of 3 extremely intense days at the shop. I wouldn’t dare to try that again 😅 but I’m damn proud I made it in time for the shooting.
It’s also special because it’s my second furniture design ever that didn’t draw inspiration from anything directly. Far from perfection but structurally, aestheticall it’s my own. And after the shooting I was able to keep it and using it since then 😌
I iterated on it and started a second one with walnut inlets and some improvements, but without a deadline to catch it’s still yet to be finished 🤷
