The wood was sanded down and restained to a lighter colour and the rest painted to give a farmhouse vibe.
It's definitely the standout piece in this kitchen.

* Rothko Red Kitchen *
It's my favourite to date. The colour, along with the eggshell finish, makes this kitchen look so much more luxurious. We were to go a lot brighter with the colour, but just one day, we played around with the idea of going red. It worked out so much better as it matched perfectly with the existing tile pattern.
