Be Different.
Being different and unique, yet functional and relevant is the key to any interior design project for an interior designer like me. Merino Laminates has been offering a very wide range of different and unique laminates for the last many years. In my current design project for a corporate office, we fall in love with solid colors from Merino Laminates. Reasonably priced and great quality, what else does one need.
We selected laminates at the newly launched,

Use endless and joint free tiles to make the space look deep and roomy. Moroccan tiles are the better option to give an endless look and feel. Beige & brown, black & white, blue and white are the best options.
Don't forget to make backlit niches for bathroom essentials like shampoo bottles, creams and so on. Use subway tiles and mosaics for niches. Fluted glass for windows and drawers, large mirrors can add beauty and depth.
Always use bigger exhaust fans as smaller ones don't serve the purpose.

Our client wanted to reduce maintenance of cleaning the surfaces around the cooktop in the kitchen. They wanted to avoid the chimney also to avoid maintenance. This need of our client inspired us to come up with a design idea of using a granite top as a roof, over and above the granite platform itself. Granite is sturdy and also easy to clean and maintain. We double the layer of granites and also provide the profile light that can give direct light over food you are cooking, providing you perfect working light. This will also protect the furniture above. We incorporate design any element only when it suffices 2 to 3 requirements at least.
Going an extra mile and innovating something, doing something new for the first time, experimenting is in Our DNA.

Always provide enough niches with lights to add your choice of artifacts there. One can have customized artifacts, using 3D Printed Artifacts.
Here at this site, we were very particular about Lord KRISHNA's Idol in the seating position, and our artists, Mr. Sripati & Mr. Dilip, DreamScape Studio, delivered what exactly we described to them.

While designing a living room, we love to focus on space and depth, connecting various activity zones. Here we used fluted brown glass and tinted mirrors to contrast lighter walls and laminates. We carved some backlit, tinted mirrored niches with artifacts, adding the further depth and beauty to the area. Adding a plant with a metal pot, adds a natural feel and calming effect. Highlighting very few design elements with the rest of the elements as supporting elements, makes the space, tell a specific story of its own. Lights play a very important role in any interior, as hanging lights, down lighters, niche lights, hidden lights and diffused lights.

Highlighting very few design elements with the rest of the elements as supporting elements, makes the space, tell a specific story of its own. Beige sofa cm bed with stoned finished tiles as background, provides functionality with a serene look. Green ombre curtains break the neutrality and add some spice of a colour to the place. Lights play a very important role in any interior, as hanging lights, down lighters, niche lights, hidden lights and diffused lights. We avoid highlighting appliances like ac, tv and speakers.
We like to highlight the dining table with chairs as the most happening place in the house with interesting elements surrounding the dining table. Hanging lights, tinted mirrors and warm coloured chairs can bring in the freshness and create a mood. We avoided highlighting the bedroom doors and the washroom door. Instead, we have hidden doors with louvered panelling, using single colour, including the handmade handles. The groves on the panels give height and depth to the background of the dining area. Mirrors also provide the feeling of depth to the area. The dining table is of neutral dark colour, with steel and wooden finish. Chairs and a bench with burnt orange upholstery is always a great combination. The comfort of a bench is unavoidable.

After considering all the options and all the views, a designer must give in to, surrender to the main concept, the soul, the main storyline. Let the bigger picture take all the attention.
