We recycle old shipping containers into eco-friendly, mobile infrastructure. We manufacture buildings which can be sent to any location in the country.
The word Aadhan means ‘box’ in Sanskrit and we seek to make it easier for individuals as well as organizations to address their infrastructure needs. These structures are made from shipping containers retired from their tenure at sea, and other environmentally friendly materials, emphasizing a culture of sustainability. One of our founders, Nikhil was part of a panel this weekend at Emerge 2017 at Oxford University! The panel topic was 'Finding pathways through the Sustainable Growth Paradox' regarding what new economic opportunities will come out of the circular economy and what are barriers to growth. Fellow panelists were from the Ellen Mcarthur Foundation, a leading think-tank on circular economy and Piñatex, a company which makes a leather substitute out of Pineapple Tree leaves as well as Elvis & Kresse, which makes high end fashion out of recycled materials.

Our latest installation at NISE (National institute of solar energy, India).
On top of our container, from has installed their unique sunfold, which can power the entire installation. This combined unit aims to take living to another level! Proud to be a part of this great initiative.

Our latest facility for uses PolyAl flatsheets for wall paneling (from Saahas Zero Waste ). These are made from recycled Tetra Pak cartons and consist of 70% Polyethylene and 30% aluminum and are 💧proof, 🔥 proof and termite proof! So along with using a 20 year old container and recycling 2.5 tons of steel, we also managed to recycle Tetra Pak cartons!

We're near Gorakhpur today, surveying a site and planning a foundation for a new container facility! It will include a 4KwH solar power system as well, in collaboration with and be used as a training center for female health workers

We're in Greater Noida today picking up a 20 year old container. It will be upcycled into a training facility for female health workers and deployed in rural Uttar Pradesh near the Nepal border!
