O42- the city that shaped me 🙏🏾

Enugu was childhood and childhood meant laughter on the streets and the undeniable scent of harmattan dust!

That quiet sophistication … that old money charm , that feeling of home. I wanted to bottle it up in this bedroom from our Sunday story project.
The vibe for this project is a space that feels familiar and a little bit like the past.

This has been sitting in the archives for a while, but after watching yesterday. I just had to unleash 🤣

If money was no object…

I’d love to design and run a chain of boutique guest houses with a running theme...perhaps along the African Coastline. Imagine the luxury of having a number of beach houses to choose from depending on what kind of week I’m having .

My inspiration remains my brother’s wedding about 17 years ago, We stayed at this gorgeous guest house, surrounded by fresh food, fresh air, love, and laughter
Can we give it up one more time for the afang soup in Calabar🤣. Talk about FREsH ! Like they run to the farm behind the house to get the vegetables when you place your order 🤣

We really did have the best time, that’s the kind of experience I’d love to recreate. Thoughtful spaces that make people feel something-comfort, connection, joy

Soooo if Owo wasn’t an issue, what would you do differently with your work / life / business?

And yes, I added a picture of my brother and I as we landed Lagos from Calabar,. I couldn’t find a picture of my purple nails which had a yellow hint to them…palm oil 🤣🤣🤣

Vase, with or without flowers?

All depend on the vibe of the room…a space should dictate what it wants to be.

Personally, i lean towards vases without flowers, they stand out as sculptural pieces on their own, just like the glass vase in the living room of the Lekki AdM project, sometimes simplicity speaks volumes.
