DataBling Android is now live on Google Play Store.
DataBling is a platform where users can buy airtime and data at good and affordable rates, all in one place.
After developing the Android app, we worked closely with the client through the Play Store publishing process, including testing and approval stages, until the app was successfully launched.
We also built a landing page and a web app to support all types of users. The landing page is mainly for marketing and to help attract more users online.
During the project, we worked with the client to research different airtime and data resellers and selected the most reliable option for the system. Because of our experience, the development process was smooth with very few bugs to fix.
Since the client requested an MVP version, we focused on building only the most important features:
1. Airtime top-up
2. Data subscription
3. Wallet system
4. Payment gateway integration
5. Reward system
6. Notification system
7. Admin dashboard for full management
You can download the app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.databling.vtu
You can also access the web app here: app.databling.ng
Note: This post is done only with the approval of the client.
Happy new week!

These 3 Things Can Save You Time And Money When Building A New App
1. Build something people truly need
Your app should solve a real daily problem.
2. Make it easy to use
Simple apps keep users comfortable and active.
3. Start with MVP
Don’t add too many features at once. Start with the important ones first and improve later.
From our experience, apps grow better when they start simple and useful.

Can you own a Fintech app like Opay?
We get this question a lot from clients who dream of owning a Fintech product like OPay and others.
The answer is simple: Yes, it is possible.
But only if it is done the right way.
Previously, we talked about how you can launch a Fintech platform without getting all the heavy operational licenses at the start.
This is possible because of payment gateways like Paystack, Flutterwave, and others.
These platforms are already licensed to handle payments. So instead of holding the money yourself, you simply integrate them into your app. They help you collect payments on your behalf, while you earn your own commission.
This means you can focus more on building your product, growing your users, and improving your service—while the payment infrastructure is already handled for you.
So yes, building a Fintech like Opay is possible.
You just need the right structure, the right tools, and the right team.
Happy new week!

After building your Android app, what’s next?
Many of our clients think that once their app is completed, it will automatically go live on the Google Play Store.
But that’s not how it works.
Before your app becomes public, it must pass through some important stages:
1. Internal Testing
This is the first testing phase. The app is tested privately to check for bugs, errors, and performance.
2. Closed Testing
Google now requires at least 12 testers for a minimum of 14 days.
During this phase:
• Testers download and use the app
• Feedback is gathered
• The app is monitored for stability and user experience
3. Production Application
After the testing phase, you apply for production access.
Google will review the app and your testing activity before approval. This review stage can take around 7 days or more.
4. Live on Play Store
Once approved by Google,
your app becomes publicly available for anyone to download and use.
Building the app is just one step.
Testing and approval are also very important parts of the journey.

Before building any system, here’s one thing to check…
Is there really a market for it?
From our experience working with clients, one thing matters most:
Does the product solve a real problem people already have?
Because if people don’t truly need it,
the system may end up wasting time and money.
That’s why when building for clients, we focus on making products:
1. Simple to use
2. Fast
3. Helpful in real-life situations
Whether it’s a Fintech, VTU, E-commerce, or any digital platform,
people will only keep using it if it makes life easier for them.
So before building, ask yourself:
“What problem is this product solving?"
What idea are you planning to build this month?
Happy Weekend!

Something interesting is happening in apps like OPay…
When a user tries to repeat the same transaction,
the app pauses and asks:
“Are you sure you want to do this again?”
This appear simple, but very powerful because in real life:
1. Users can send money twice by mistake
2. Users can act too fast
3. Small errors can lead to real loss
This one feature helps to reduce mistakes and protect users.
What does this mean to your fintech or VTU project?
You shouldn't focus only on speed, but also on safety too.
During building these kind of apps, we don't skip key things like:
1. Duplicate transaction checks
2. Clear confirmation before payment
3. Smart alerts for repeated actions
This week, don’t just build features, build protection for your users.

3 Things To Know Before Building A Fintech App
Building a fintech app is not just about features, it’s about getting the basics right.
Several projects we have discussed and worked on have made us to note these 3 important things:
1. Trust is everything
People are putting their money in your app.
If it’s not clear or reliable, they won’t use it.
2. Start simple
You don’t need too many features at the beginning. Start with one thing and make it work well.
3. Use payment gateways first
Instead of trying to get a license immediately,
you can use payment gateways to collect money for you.
They handle the payments and help you stay on the safe side. But they will charge a small fee (commission) on each transaction.
Get these 3 right, and you’re on a good path to launch fast and ready for the market.

Are you skipping real-time updates in your exchange app?
Popular exchanges like Binance and Bybit don’t joke with it.
Every action comes with an instant update:
1. Deposit received
2. Trade executed
3. Withdrawal processed
This keeps users informed and confident.
During projects, we implement this feature for our clients by enabling:
1. Instant notifications for every transaction
2. Real-time status updates (pending, successful, failed)
3. Live balance updates without refresh
It’s time you stop skipping this simple but powerful feature in your exchange app.

This Is How You Can Use A Smart Contract
Have you heard about smart contracts and wondered how they can help your fintech, crypto, or related product compete better?
A smart contract is simply a system that runs automatically based on rules.
In simple terms: “If this happens, do this instantly.”
No manual approval. No delays.
This is how we implement it in projects for our clients:
1. We set clear conditions for transactions (what must happen first)
2. We make the system hold funds securely until conditions are met
3. We automate payment release once everything is confirmed
4. We remove the need for middlemen or manual checks
This helps make the platform faster, more transparent, and easier to trust.
If you want to start using smart contracts: Start simple.
Don’t try to automate everything at once.
Focus on one process where trust and speed really matter, then build from there.
Happy New Week!
