Sew Mooi

So I'm back in sewing corner, wait for it... in Singapore this time! Making light weight dresses and pimping a top pattern into a dress.

I have been mostly settling into a new country, but have found time to finish off some of the UFO's that have been cluttering up my sewing pile. This skirt was one of them, finished just in time for a holiday to Thailand.

It did finally get finished...and is a much loved gift to a much loved new niece!

You don't need a fancy machine to do the quilting process. Although a longer throat would be nice for anything bigger than this size.

Laying it all out to get the right balance for this sampler.

Poor Snake had the stuffing knocked out of him by the next by the next Steve Irwin, all better now.

Now, I'm definitely not a knitter, but this sort of thing really makes me smile! I snapped this picture during our vacation, on a trip to the pick your own fruit farm, on the Dutch island of Texel.

A belated birthday present, but a very welcome one! I can't wait to get stuck into these two.

Well it has been a lovely vacation, visiting family and camping on the islands. I am now looking forward to getting back to my machine in "sewing corner". Hope you have all enjoyed your summer and can find something to enjoy now that the routine of school term is re-newed!
