Hi everyone! It has been a while since the last post and there is a reason for that. Like with many small businesses, the pandemic had a major impact on The Palamedes. Going from a fully booked Bed & Coffee with guests from all over the world who would stay with us for several days, to an occasional booking. Don’t get me wrong, it’s such a joy to welcome people at the house and feel the excitement of being away in Amsterdam. All the support was very encouraging and kept us going, looking forward to better times. Yet, the pandemic is far from over which is why the studio was rented for semi short term stays over the past months. In August, it will be available again. So let me know if you’re looking for a large studio with private bathroom and kitchenette 🤗💚💙

We’re joining forces with 💪🏻🙌🏻
Located just a stone’s throw away, we can practically call them our neighbors. Have been admiring Uncommon’s style and taste (for coffee/food as much as the interior) for long time. Super excited to bring their vibe into the studio. The lounge corner has been transformed into a dining area with the Uncommon table and chairs 🤩
Only for the time being, just so you can enjoy the amazing take-away menu with delicious dishes such as the Tapioca and Citrus Breakfast Bowl or Black Rice Congee (photo) as if you have taken a seat at the Uncommon café ☕️🍽

In today’s spotlight: Marie Stella Maris 🧼
Since we have opened our doors for guests, Marie Stella Maris has been part of the journey. Besides the gentle and soft hand and body wash, the brand truly lives up to its mission to provide access to a source of clean water and hygiene🚰🛁
Therefore, a donation to a global clean water project is made for every purchase.
On top of that, the bottles can be refilled and thus, avoiding waste as much as possible!

It almost feels as if we are on permanent Groundhog day 🦫🪵
A series of tedious events appear to be recurring in exactly the same way, every day. Might as well make the most of it by getting comfort food and staying in bed until our hibernation period comes to an end 🍞🍯🥛
By the way, really recommending to watch the movie. Over time, the 1993 film with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell truly became a cult classic. Another one for the list if you’re staying inside 🎞📺

has put these beauties are at your disposal when you pay The Palamedes a visit. I bet you’re able to finish them in one night, but if you don’t, is right across the street and can deliver a copy to take home with their book-taxi 🚲 How cool is that?
