Can’t believe how fast this year went — 11 projects done in just 10 months, and one of them even got awarded as Best Paper of the Year! 🙌
After 4 years of commissioning and guiding thesis projects, I finally got one that made it to the top. Super proud and grateful to everyone I’ve worked with along the way. 💪

🌬️ From Concept to Reality: My DIY Wind Turbine Project ⚙️
Hey everyone! I’d love to share the journey behind one of my recent and most exciting projects — "a horizontal-axis wind turbine", developed from scratch and brought to life through design, engineering, and hands-on fabrication.
🔧 It all started with a concept
My client approached me with an idea: to create a small-scale wind turbine that could harness renewable energy efficiently. From there, I began crafting a solution, starting with the "aerodynamic blade design", structural planning, and performance goals.
💻 3D Modeling & Simulation
Using SOLIDWORKS, I developed the entire assembly in 3D, running "Flow Simulations" to optimize blade efficiency under different wind speeds. I fine-tuned the design to strike a balance between power output and durability.
📐 Deliverables for Manufacturing:
Once the prototype was validated, I delivered a full technical package to the client:
📦 A detailed 3D CAD model
🗂️ Complete manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances
🧩 An assembly guide
🔌 A system diagram outlining all components and their integration
🛠️ Manufacturing the Prototype
I took the lead on the fabrication process, using a mix of techniques:
🖨️ 3D printing for custom blades and casing
🔩 Welding and machining** for the structural frame
🔧 Precise fitting and assembly to bring the concept to life
⚙️ Prototype Testing & Evaluation
After assembly, I moved on to **functional testing** to ensure the turbine performed as expected.
✅ Measured rotor RPM and airflow efficiency
✅ Assessed mechanical stability under simulated wind speeds
✅ Fine-tuned blade angles and alignment for better performance
This stage helped validate the prototype and provided critical insights for future scaling or production.
