Ever coded for so long you needed a caffeine IV? ☕💻 Back in 1991, researchers at Cambridge University went Beyond The LimIT of traditional problem-solving just to secure their coffee fix!

Instead of walking down the hall to find an empty pot, they worked smarter and invented the WORLD'S FIRST WE**AM to monitor it for them. 🤯

Check out this week's Byte of the Week to see how a simple 128x128 grayscale feed saved researchers from empty trips to the "Trojan Room" and eventually revolutionized the World Wide Web. 🌐

𝑭𝒖𝒏 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒕🚨!!

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 that the very first computer mouse was made of wood and only had one red button?

Invented by Doug Engelbart in 1964 at the Stanford Research Institute, the prototype featured a carved wooden shell housing two perpendicular metal wheels inside to track movement along a surface.

It only had a single red button on top, and got its name simply because the cord trailing out the back reminded Engelbart's team of a mouse's tail.

Proof that tech innovation always goes 𝑩𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅𝑻𝒉𝒆𝑳𝒊𝒎𝑰𝑻!🚀
