Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago's wake will be held at Immaculate Conception Lantana St. Cubao starting tonight. The wake is open to the public.

We would like to personally appeal to every Miriam supporters, and to the Filipinos in general, to keep on fighting the good fight, but do so in peace and unity. There is peace in unity.

Miriam taught us all the importance of unity, of shared destiny. We should not resort to divisive methods just to get our points across. We should abhor division and instead call for unity. We started the fight for Miriam, we started the fight for a better Philippines, and Miriam supporters never give up a good fight.

In peace there is unity. And in unity there is power. Peace be with us all.

Ilang dekadang ipinaglaban at patuloy na ipinaglalaban pa rin ni Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago ang mas mataas na kalidad ng edukasyon sa ating bansa. Kaya naman upang mas mapalawig pa ang laban, hangad ng Youth Reform Mvement (formerly known as the Youth for Miriam Movement) na kahit papaano'y punan ang patlang sa kasalukuyang sistema.

Sa Daraitan, sa Rizal halimbawa, isang grupo ng mga kabataang menor de edad ang maagang nakikibaka laban sa kahirapan, mga child laborers kung tawagin ng marami sa atin.

Sa halip na silid aralan ang kanilang puntahan, mas pinipili nilang tumambay sa ilog kung saan malaki ang pag-asa nilang makakuha man lang ng pangkain sa isang araw.

Paano na ang kanilang kinabukasan kung maaga pa lang, mulat na sila sa konseptong kailangan na nilang kumayod para makaraos? Hindi ba't pawang nananakaw na sakanila ang oportunidad na makapag-aral?

Kaya naman hinihikayat namin kayo na makiisa sa laban na ito. Hindi para kaninuman kundi para sa bayan. Handa na ba kayo?

I am posting on behalf of the Youth Reform Movement (former Youth for Miriam). We are looking for people who will give or donate something in need, this group will be giving away school needs to the childrens of Daraitan, Rizal.
We are in need of school supplies such as pencils, ballpens and papers, notebooks, bags, raincoats, foods, slippers, clothes and etc.
