ایک عرصہ ہوا ش*ذ ہی کبھی رات کو نیند آئی ہے مگر کل بڑی گہری آئی۔ فجر سے پہلے ارشد شریف کو اپنے گاؤں میں دیکھا۔ وہیں جہاں بچپن سے ہر شام گاؤں کے ہر بڑے اور بچے کو اکھٹے ہوکر ہنستے کھیلتے دیکھا ہے۔ جینز کے ساتھ ڈریس شرٹ، ہاتھ میں کیمرہ اور چہرے پہ مسکراہٹ، وہی مخصوص مسکراہٹ۔۔ میں جانتا ہوں وہ حیات نہیں۔ میں جانتا ہوں لوٹ کر بھی نہیں آنا، پھر بھی بتانے لگتا ہوں جگ بیتی بھی، آپ بیتی بھی۔ “بہت لمبا ہوگیا، ارشد بھائی” اب یاد نہیں میری آواز میں کیا تھا۔ شکوہ؟ یا تھکن؟ نیند گہری تھی تو تھکن ہی ہوگی۔ شکوہ بھلا کیا ہونا تھا، ایک ایسے شخص سے جس نے اپنے پر واجب فرض سے بڑھ کر قرض ادا کیا شکوہ بھی کیا ہوتا۔ “ہاں! لمبا ہوگیا۔ مگر کام تمام ہوگیا ہے” وہی مسکراہٹ۔۔ لوگ کہتے ہیں اس پہر کے خواب سچے ہوتے ہیں۔ آج سے پہلے نہیں معلوم تھا۔ آج جاگا تو جانا کتنے سچے ہوتے ہیں۔۔صبح کے خواب جیسی ایک مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ ایک دن میرے سامنے فون کان سے لگائے کسی کو سنبھلنے کی تلقین کی تھی، “نغمے بھی ہمارے ہوجائیں گے۔ بیانیے بھی اور قوم بھی؛ تمہارے پاس صرف ڈنڈا رہ جائیگا۔” لازم تھا کہ اُس دعوی کی تکمیل بھی میرے سامنے ہوتی۔۔ ایک زمانہ تھا ایک صحیفے برابر توقیر ہوتی تھی لفظوں کی، ایک زمانہ ہے بچہ بچہ بخیے ادھیڑ رہا ہے۔ ایک زمانہ تھا کہا حرفِ آخر ہوتا تھا، ایک زمانہ ہے کہ دھونس، دھمکی، ترلہ، واسطہ سب کرکے دیکھ لیا کوئی مان کے نہیں دے رہا۔ کب سے تکیے سے ٹیک لگائے دیکھ رہا ہوں۔سوچ رہا ہوں۔ دہرا رہا ہوں؛ کام تو واقعی تمام ہوگیا۔ واہ ارشد بھائی! کس کو پتا تھا لحد میں آپ کو اتارا تھا مگر مٹی کسی اور پر ڈالی تھی۔
