At Materia Madura, we design and develop custom waste-based surfaces for commercial and residential settings, transforming discarded resources into durable, high-impact applications. From countertops to tabletops, our materials bring depth, texture, and purpose to everyday environments.

This 29-foot wood waste countertop was developed for Tostado’s Galería San Patricio location, reinforcing its connection to sustainability while transforming mahogany, oak, and pine wood fibers and offcuts into a functional statement for the coffee bar area.

Our waste-based materials open the door to a wide range of furniture design possibilities. From coffee tables and benches to dining tables and desks, we develop custom surfaces tailored to each project’s needs. With waste as a resource, material choices are endless—each with distinct textures, colors, and compositions.

This bench, designed for , features a waste-based terrazzo surface composed of residual wood fibers and coffee waste fragments, supported by a maple plywood structure. A seamless integration of sustainability and function, it exemplifies how discarded materials can shape durable, high-quality furniture.

Each tile design stands on its own. While these two 19.6”L x 7.8”W tiles are often combined, they can also be used independently to create distinct surfaces. Their individual repetition highlights their unique patterns in Bread Waste and Coffee Waste—two of the many waste-based materials they can be developed in.
