For the first image, we chose an inspiring project: a magical Elysian Heights compound, tucked away in the heart of Echo Park, Los Angeles. A charming 1920s home completely reimagined in collaboration with the local firm BC Studios.

And this project is a perfect testament to that. A 1970s home, reimagined through an artsy contemporary lens.
The Australian interiors superstar brings together an eclectic collection of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, creating a space that feels collected rather than decorated. Iconic finds such as a 1970s François Chatain lamp, the Soriana sofa, vintage rugs layered throughout, the Alpha Lounge Chair by Maurice Burke for Pozza, Brazil, from the 1960s, and so many other exceptional pieces, each bringing its own history, texture and attitude.

A Parisian duplex where timeless elegance meets the bold spirit of 1970s design. Designed by Sandra Benhamou, the home transforms a former office into a warm, light-filled family residence, layered with natural materials, collectible furniture, and contemporary art.

A restrained palette of timber, travertine, textured glass, and caramel tones creates depth without excess. Iconic vintage pieces, including the sculptural DS-600 sofa by De Sede and the striking Ponte floor lamp by Studio Arditi, sit effortlessly alongside a curated collection of contemporary artworks, proving that great interiors are built through contrast as much as harmony.

A century-old mansion on Paris’s Left Bank finds new life through the cinematic vision of French-Mexican architect and designer Hugo Toro.

Rather than restoring the house to a single moment in time, Toro layers history with the warmth and sensuality of the 1970s. Original mouldings, soaring ceilings and herringbone floors are paired with honey onyx, Murano glass, aluminium details and an enveloping palette of amber and sepia, creating interiors that feel both grand and deeply lived in.

Collectible design plays a defining role throughout. A 1950s console by Paolo Buffa, chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, a lamp by Lisa Johansson-Pape, Michel Cadestin’s iconic Yoga chairs, Märta Blomstedt’s Aulanko armchairs, vintage Roche Bobois Iron Tree coffee tables and a striking Maurice Calka Boomerang desk are thoughtfully woven into Toro’s bespoke furniture, lighting and artworks.

The result is a home where Parisian elegance meets the playful confidence of 1970s modernism, proving that the most compelling interiors are those where architecture, craftsmanship and collectible design exist in effortless dialogue.
