This house is one of the oldest and most beautiful houses in Cairo. Known as Beit Al-Shaheimi.

375 years old.

Built by Sheikh Abdul Wahab Al-Tablawi in 1648.

The last occupant of the house in the Ottoman era, is Sheikh Muhammad Amin Al-Shaimi.
He is one of the leading scholars of Al-Azhar Sharif, and the Sheikh of Ruwaq of Turks.

After his death, the heir sold the house to the Arab Archeological Committee for 6000 pounds, in 1931 AD.

To this day, this house is one of the most important heritage houses in Cairo, which documents the creativity of the Muslim architect and his attention to beautiful artistic details. 🥰

Moroccan Art.

This chair design isn't actually new at all. Made from cane and teak wood and featuring a distinctive V-shaped leg design, the unofficially dubbed “Jeanneret chair” is everywhere: Flooding our social media feeds, gracing the pages of design
magazines, and being made into high-street replicas.

When Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret devised a teak-and-cane chair in the 1950s, his reasoning was simple: The people needed seats. The design was just one of several by Jeanneret that would be produced by the thousands for Chandigarh, India, the utopian city created by his cousin Le Corbusier.

In the early 1950s, when the city of Chandigarh was still in the making, Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret, along with a team of young Indian architects he was mentoring, designed a set of furniture for use in the government offices, libraries and official residences of the new city.

Our factory produce replica of this popular chairs and we receive ongoing orders for these.

Honoured to have been a part of this project. Massive timber supply comes from my factory in Indonesia. Provided many unique materials like breeze brick from Kudus Indonesia and the drive way we managed to procure old railway sleepers from Malaysian Railway Bukit Timah Station. Even the swimming pool was sourced specifically from Indonesia.

Simple but Powerful..

One of my favourite project. Customising a Arabic Majlis Sofa set and brass tables with a specific carving to match the mirror Arabesque panel on the Wall. Keeping it simple and contemporary in approach yet keeping its basic function as a traditional Arabic Majlis type seating.

The challenge too was delivering it to a High rise unit, thus it has to be precisely built to meet specific dimension and in modules.

We finished it finely to match the luxurious ambience of the Home.

All finally giving a concepted look that reflect the fine taste of the homeowner who demands nothing but the best for their home.
