Many would ask why is parquet and wood floor so expensive?

The facts are if you understand what you are really paying for you know that every cent is worth.

First the trees that is used are grown and must hit a certain number of years before its deem usable and it takes years then its ready and can be cut down, left to dry in its natural state to allow the tree to dry out naturally so it does not crack as much. After that to remove the barks and go into lumber mill. Cut to size and then the timber is then put into stacks into the oven to machine dry it farther. By the time this process is done, it would have been 1.5years at least.

Then ship to the destination for usage. Which then us as client will have to engage a master floor carpenter to install them but before they another group of labourers have to transport them up to the level that you are staying, hauling the material up. After the installation is done. Another group of master has to appear which are the floor stainer, their job would be to sand down the floor for any unevenness and they will clean up the dust and scraps.

After that are done they would fill up the floors with material that will be mixed into special compound of wood and lacquer like the following photo. Scrap the entire room and its again fully manual labour. Then after repeat to wait and sand off the excess. Then the first coat of base lacquer can be applied. Then after an hour wait the 2nd coat again. And finally a top coat layer to finish off.

Just typing them took me 15mins. This isnt for most people but for those that appreciate the works done. You know you aren't over paying you are just giving those individuals their hard earned money
