Of wood, rattan and warm earthy tones. A recent installation of our clouds for a living room with a beautiful old vintage piano that’ll be used for recordings.

A recent commission of a custom console for a FIT control surface. We built the frame with premium Baltic birch plywood and sprayed it black (for stage use) and 3D printed a custom monitor swivel arm which we integrated into the wooden frame, allowing for a small display monitor to be attached while remaining completely mobile and road ready. The entire rig fits inside a case. 3U rack mounts are located underneath the controller. This was a fun build for sure, with us stepping out of our comfort zone and learning new things. It’s our first build incorporating 3D printed parts, and doing some light metalworking too to make everything fit nice and snug. This is such a compact and bomber setup, we can’t wait to see it out on the road.

Materials:
Frame - baltic birch plywood
Monitor Arm - PETG filament
Rack rails - heavy gauge cold rolled steel

Wooden Light Modules, a perfect pairing with our standard range of ceiling mounted Cloud absorbers. They’re available in two versions and widths. V1 takes either smart dimmable bulbs with variable temperature or regular GU10 bulbs, and is slightly wider compared to V2, which takes a single LED strip. We designed these wooden light modules after years of working around existing lights that might or might not be aligned or installed properly, or somehow mess up the overhead listening position. They are also available as stand alone light modules for a dining table or workbench. In our studio, we made some prototypes with reclaimed wood, full of patina and age. If you’d like to find out more do drop us a line on WhatsApp, link in profile.

New for 2025, Studio Stands. Built with solid white ash, it’s a perfect match for our Studio Desk. They can be sized for any speaker model based on your listening position. Drop us a line to find out more.

Some new products we quietly launched in 2024 after testing numerous prototypes. Our wooden speaker stands are built to order using solid white ash, the height would be dependent on one’s listening position and speaker dimensions. We wanted something clean looking, without any unnecessary hardware and something that matches our Studio Desk. We couldn’t find anything similar out there, so we built our own. We also developed two versions of wooden light modules that pair nicely with our range of ceiling mounted clouds. The main difference is the size of the module and type of light utilised, v1 uses GU10 bulbs, and v2 a thin LED strip. Some smaller studios only have space for v2, but it comes down to personal preference. Our default come with 2700k bulbs and high CRI leds, but of course cooler temperatures are available as well, we recommend up to 4000k. After so many years of working around existing lighting that might not be in the most ideal location, we thought this would be a good solution for our clients. It’s really nice to have one’s studio furniture, lighting and acoustic treatment match nicely. What’s next in 2025? We’ve been testing our Studio Couch, still making some tweaks but it’s 90% there. First up would be a compact 2 seater, it’ll be a good size for small apartments, home studios. Perfect for when friends or clients visit for listening sessions. For guitarists, we’ll also have a very small quantity of wooden guitar cabinets, 1 x 12. Solid pine, harkening back to the old days of lightweight cabs that won’t break one’s back, and also being nice and resonant like the early pine casters. Lots of exciting plans in store, thank you to everyone who’s been a part of our journey thus far. We really never intended for EHKA F. to be what it is today, we just started building things for our own studios, but we really appreciate all the love and support over the years. Meanwhile here’s to a kinder 2025 filled with more sympathy, peace and love. 🕊️

Barbie fever is well over (we actually haven’t caught it yet) but here’s a home studio we worked on years ago featuring our bass traps and clouds in Tearose. When we started EHKA F., apart from using real, solid wood to build all our frames, diffusers and racks, we wanted to offer our range of panels in as many colors as possible, unlike the usual offerings out in the market which are usually only available in black or white or gray. Our goal was to build not only highly functional studio treatment that outperforms everything else we can find in the market but to make them as aesthetically pleasing as possible as well. So the moment we saw the wall color of this room, we replied the owner, “We got you fam.”
