Thanks to for the beautiful taksim he played on one of my last ouds
This is oud is made of a tight grain wenge wood with a wonderful 26years aged caucasian spruce and it has a very thin matt french polished on the top
It sounds great both on arabic and turkish tuning

The very satisfying and at the same time and same level energy taking task of shaving them bowl. I sometimes start it with the spokeshave plane and then clean it with a scrapper but in the case of very hard and fibrous woods in which there is a higher risk of chipping the wood I just do it with a scrapper from scratch.
