Trekking For A Cause 2013 is in aid of Amani Children's Home. We hope you enjoy these images of our summit.
At 5895 m (19,340 ft), the Uhuru Peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and the world’s tallest free-standing mountain. Our team had to overcome many challenges to successfully summit Mt Kilimanjaro and it is our hope you will support our efforts and cause by visiting our dedicated JustGiving page and donating directly towards the cause: http://www.justgiving.com/trekkingforacause2013
Amani Children’s Home rescues street children and orphans from homelessness and restores hope in their lives. Amani provides children off the street with a safe and loving home, education, medical care, healthy food, and counseling.
Amani, which means “peace” in Swahili, has been a haven of peace for homeless children since its founding in 2001.
Thank You in advance for your generosity and support. Together we can make a difference!
Dear Colleague, Friend and Well wisher,
Today along with Residents of our golf community and with the support of National Air Cargo & Continental Coffee, I am leaving for Tanzania to trek to Mt. Kilimanjaro in aid of street children and orphans. Standing at 5895 m (19,340 ft), Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and the world’s tallest free-standing mountain. Mt. Kilimanjaro is actually a dormant volcano which is covered year round with snow and ice.
It is with the support of well-wishers like yourself we aim to raise funds for Amani Childrens Home, who are dedicated to the protection of street children and orphans In Tanzania. Located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Tanzania, Amani Children’s Home rescues street children and orphans from homelessness and restores hope in their lives. Amani provides children off the street with a safe and loving home, education, medical care, healthy food, and counseling. Amani, which means “peace” in Swahili, has been a haven of peace for homeless children since its founding in 2001.
For your convenience and for that of all our potential donors we have set up a dedicated JustGiving page wherein you can donate directly towards the cause: http://www.justgiving.com/trekkingforacause2013
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll provide a receipt and send your money directly to the charity. JustGiving is a London, UK based organization providing online tools and processing services to enable the collection of charitable donations.
You can also help promote our JustGiving page amongst you peers as we are aiming to collectively raise $ 20,000 and this can be only achieved with your support. We are very grateful and hope you help us raise awareness and a lot of funds for children. We also have a page www.facebook.com/trekkingforacause in case you wish to link up.
Thank You in advance for your generosity, support and understanding. Together we can always make a difference!
