Before you see the finished sofa, there’s a whole structure underneath that determines how it feels and how long it lasts.

A solid wooden frame, curved sides, back support, seat support, and carefully designed legs, each part built for strength and comfort.

Her: I want something like this but, make it a little bit slim and I don’t want square pillows. Just try some other designs.

It’s easy to look at a finished sofa and only see the final piece.

But this is where it started, in the workshop, surrounded by timber, tools, dust, and a lot of hands bringing an idea to life.

From the workshop floor to someone’s living room, that’s the part we enjoy most.

The idea was to create a chair that feels just as good in a quiet corner as it does in the middle of a living room.

So we kept the wood natural, chose a soft neutral fabric, and gave the back its curved shape for a little more character.

The final piece feels simple, but there was a lot of thought behind it.

Sometimes, it’s the little details that make a piece feel like it was made for the room.

Keep the warmth of natural wood (Mtiki), but soften the structure with something comfortable and calm.

The rounded arms.
The textured upholstery.
The exposed wooden frame.

Every detail was kept intentional.

They came with a reference.

We kept the feeling, but made it theirs.

The warmth of natural wood stayed. The simplicity stayed. But the proportions, curves, and details were redesigned around what they wanted.

Because custom furniture isn’t about making a copy. It’s about taking an idea and giving it a new story.

This one became theirs.
