Door project

Farm table build. Friend asked me to help him turn some barn board material (Pine) into a family dining farm table top. I’m pleased with the raw finished top special interest on the bread board ends. Fun project!

That’s a wrap on working the wood, can’t wait to see some finish on this beautiful figured quarter sawn oak! Tools of the day, card scraper (a necessity with figured wood) spokeshave for cleaning up the outer and inner edges, circle cutting router jig, and my pride and joy Stanley Sweetheart low angle block plane.

A very Super glue-up going on! 1/4 sawn white oak, round picture frame starting to take shape. Sub-zero temperature outside, grateful to have a wood stove today!

Finished. Time to clean-up the tools required to accomplish this task. On to the next project, a round picture frame out of oak with a 24” diameter opening. Should be fun, stay tuned for updates and message me if you need a help with a custom project.

Finally found some time out in the shop to make a doll house for my baby girl! Woodworking as my hobby, nice change, and a lot of fun!

Here’s progress on a unique, pre-finished mission cherry balustrade run I worked on this week. Still need to install the caps to the newel posts and slide the knuckles into place on the spindles after glue has set up. Otherwise looks great and a lot of style and character here!
