In November of 2024, I got the chance to take my troop to the first official workday for the where the entire crew remove 3 dump trucks of debris from a small creek. The vast majority of this debris was from Hurricane Helene. The NRP has continuously worked, every month to restore the river with the help of other groups.

This weekend was a chance for renewal, as volunteers planted back native species of shrubs, fruit trees, and a mixer of evergreens and hardwoods. About 1200 in total. This groups special to me as my family is deeply involved, , .s.palmer, and . They have been doing amazing work!

With Halloween a month away, I'm running a special on these cedar . Black cats are $25, Frankensteins are $30, and large ghouls are $35. Buy a set of 3 for $75.

Troop 18 is holding a yard sale today from 9am to 2pm. Sales benefit the efforts of the troop. We'd love your support.

So a wonderful neighbor asked me to find a use for the wood that could be saved from a playset made for her boys by her late father. The youngest just graduated high school. Didn't quite have enough to complete the bench, but it was the majority of the wood. All the wood was cleaned up and shaped to the sizes needed, even used some epoxy to fill in cracks so they didn't go further. Obviously the older wood is the stained material. I'll go back in a few months to put sealant on the new wood, once it dries out. She really liked it.

Clearing out the house of items that are either not getting used, one time builds that should find a new home, or simply don't fit in our house.
