All Things New Market

I’ve been a little MIA on here recently, but it’s because the hubs and I are expecting a baby!
Unfortunately that means I am not taking any commissions for a while so that I can choose the type of products I use so that this little nugget isn’t exposed to harsh chemicals, and I can work at my own pace 💜 Don’t worry though, I have lots of my own projects stock piled in my garage and they HAVE.TO.GO before babe comes, so stay tuned 😉😎

Slight change of color + distressing for this daybed! Instead of a sharp white, it’s painted in Steamed Milk by Sherwin Williams. I probably won’t be painting in latex paint again anytime soon, but this piece will match other furniture perfectly in its home and turned out beautiful!

I am back up and running (for about a week now) since the holidays! Since it’s been a year ago that I started All Things New Market, I wanted to reintroduce myself. My name is Allison. I live about an hour outside of Atlanta Ga. I have the best husband and 3 kitties that are total attention hogs. I have a full time job working to ensure kiddos have a safe place to lay their heads, but I also LOVE antiques and being creative - so this is my hustle on the side! I can revamp your furniture and I make my own creations. I’m here for any questions you may have! 🤍

I had the pleasure of refreshing this French country kitchen table. It looks similar to how it started, but it was sanded down, repainted, and redistressed so that it came back to its former glory! My garage was so full it was impossible to get a full staged after photo. The table top though I think is the show stopper of this piece! The video shows the after. Let me know what you think!

This clock went to the same owner as the French table! I’m tellin’ yall…impossible before and afters. This clock would have made a gorgeous staged picture, but sometimes there’s no time and no space! So here’s the best shots- he is a beaut. Doing a clock was on my bucket list so ✔️!

He’s not mine, but his name is Guston. He was ripped apart, stripped down to bare wood, given a new veneer top, and redressed in white.

I had the privilege of redoing this dresser for a friend for her sweet baby girl’s nursery and it is my favorite project to date. The pops of color she chose brought this piece to life! From plain Jane to bold and blue! 🤩
Side note…peep the pumpkins because it’s finally September! 🍂

Honest Update!
I have never, yes never replaced veneer before. I’m sure my sister in law didn’t know that before this got started 😂. I researched the best veneer to use, best bonding agent, and watched several YouTube videos and here we are - a brand new beautiful white oak veneer! So far I’ve used THREE products I’ve never tried before on this one dresser.
Bottom line is you can do anything! Don’t let fear get in the way of doing something awesome🪄
