Tip: STOP USING POLISH ON FURNITURE!
Polish destroys finishes. Conditioning the wood is a myth. Pledge is one of the worst things to put on wood. It's been around for over 100 years and still fooling people while ruining furniture. Every coat you put on stays on. When one coat loses its shine it appears to have mysteriously disappeared so you apply another coat. If you want your table or other wood item to shine hire a professional to spray the top with a clear using any sheen you desire. We actually do this onsite. Then you will have a permanent gloss without putting gummy residue on your furniture. Then for cleaning just use a tiny bit of dawn dish soap and water on a cloth, ring it out tightly and wipe down your furniture. Dry afterwards with a dry cloth. Back to basics soap and water. Don't believe all the labels you read! Most of it is garbage. Common sense.. if your table has stain and a clearcoat on it then what exactly are you conditioning? Is it the wood underneath or the clearcoat barrier on top?

Tip: When buying a leather sofa make sure it is 100% leather on the seat cushions. No vinyl on the sides of the cushions or on the sides of the arm pads. The leather will last a long time but not the vinyl. Some manufacturers put vinyl in these areas to save on leather cost. The vinyl will start to crack from plasticizer migration. See photos of vinyl on the sides of the leather.
