Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there! I hand engraved my mom this Pinot Grigio bottle created by one of her favorite artist . Relax and enjoy your day ❤️❤️

I have a soft spot for maternal commissions. Mothers, Aunties, Grandmommas… all of maternal commission warm my heart.

This commission in particular was exceptionally beautiful.

This expecting mom contacted me to create a surprise for her virtual baby shower and for her baby girl . She asked all of the powerful women in her family to write something for her newest addition. Whether it was a poem, favorite quote, or just all around good wisdom and well wishes.

She asked me to write them down in this book with the cover created in custom handmade paper from an Etsy shop printed with the little ones name on the cover.

I cannot wait for her to grow up with the wisdom of her family to guide her through life.

I am so grateful to be apart of that journey. And I hope my client has a beautiful Mother’s Day this year!

What's happening at Nicole Calligraphy?

Late night ! I think about all of the projects that I never post. Some of them work others are personal. The Vintage Wedding Lewks that are in my phone. Some don’t see the light of day! Today there’s little strategy or curation. Just the love of my work that’s hidden beneath the photo stream. Each with a story. Which one do you want to know about? Comment below. ❤️ .

If you ask me what my favorite commissions to work on, I... I’ll respond with the 3 Bs — businesses, babies, and bottles! Lol. Are you a business? I’m in. Is this for a baby? I’m in. Does it have to do with wine? Heck yeah I’m in.

Wine Bottles are my particular fav. I love to engrave on them, gift tag them, and paint them whatever. I love dealing with wine!

The bubbly and warmer weather made me think about cherry blossoms. So that’s what I made today. ❤️

Fun fact:

Wine Is an in-state transaction. I can’t ship it via usps. I watched enough crime dramas to know the ATF is not an organization to play with lol.

Hey y’all. I’m Nicole from Nicole Calligraphy. Did you know that I run by business out of my bedroom?

Yes, boo. Everything I write or engrave on is created sitting on this 1950s antique chair in my room.

I love vintage things (peep my vintage wedding lewks in my story highlights) This chair has been with me for over 4 years now.

My mom gave it to me when I got my first unfurnished apartment in grad school. It was my only piece of furniture I owned for a while when i first moved into my apartment.

Many late nights, to-go Thai food, and plenty of Netflix binges took place on that chair.

And when I made the big move home to Atlanta from South Georgia in 2019. I was determined to keep it.

The problem was it couldn’t fit in the car.

I didn’t have any help to transport it. I downsized my car from an SUV to a sedan. I didn’t want to let my chair go.

I was relentless. I bought some ratchet straps and got help to secure the chair in the back of the sedan. — peep the last photo.

I drove 220 miles to my sisters house, which is where I reside today!

Who would’ve thought this would be my CEO chair?

Maybe God placed that drive to keep this chair for this day. I know love this chair though.

But I know this for sure..... Let 2021, give me my own apartment & studio space tho! I need it! Lol

What drives you to just launch the thing?
💐 SATURDAY @ 2PM I made a decision to launch and refine my holiday collection. I’ve been hastily making projects. Taking photos in the blistering cold (I live in Atlanta I’m being dramatic lol). And arranging like crazy.

BUT WHY? I made this shop for you. The responses and DMs as a way to spread love to your chosen families during the holidays. As a way to celebrate the love that you all have.

I made this shop for the fancy glass with your amazingly bougie sayings and inside jokes that I get to etc on glass and write on paper.
