Handing Out L’s by Shell

One of the enemy’s favorite lies! He used to tell you that you’re too young. Now he’s saying you are too old. You are not! There is no right time if it’s not God’s time.

You are not too old to start. You are not too old to finish. You are not too old to do something different. You are not too old for a new beginning. God can and will redeem the time (Joel 2:25).

You were being prepared for this time specifically. Do not let the enemy tell you that you don’t have anything else to give, because I’m letting you know that the lessons your learned and the wisdom you earned, somebody needs.

Absolutely the voice of the enemy. They aren’t S***m, as much as you want them to be - God really cares about them.

I know you want this to be true, but it’s not. God is keeping you AND He is also keeping them. Your bills aren’t the only ones that need to be paid. Your prayers aren’t the only ones being answered. God called you to leave, and He told them to stay (Romans 12:4-5). We appreciate your main character energy, but He cares about their storyline, too.

Exposing the Voice of the Enemy

He wants nothing more than to change your fun into a funeral as quickly as possible. Another trick is to make you think that you’ve already lived your best days and it’s all downhill from here. It absolutely is not!

Your future is bright. Your opportunities are limitless. God has given you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11), and His word does not fall flat (Isaiah 55:11), so neither will you. I want you to say with all confidence, “My best days are in front of me!” Not because I told you so, but because God did (Philippians 1:6)!

Pride can lift you to lofty heights, but what good is that without stability? There’s a difference between being proud of something and being full of pride. For example, Paul was proud of the spiritual growth of some members of the churches he planted, meaning he was overjoyed. (2 Corinthians 7:4).

On the other hand, haughtiness is the rotten seed of pridefulness, which ultimately leads to destruction (Proverbs 16:18). What’s the point of reaching the top if it’s all going to come crashing down?

In our works, we should stay humble and give all honor to God (James 4:10). It’s not us but Him, and if we honor God, He will reciprocate. Practice gratitude for His presence in your works (Matthew 5:16). Make sure the people around you are thanked because God positioned them to help you. Less if your.
More of him.

If you do these things, God will put you in the places you want to be, with Himself as a firm foundation. You won’t need to worry about the bottom falling out.

The voice of the enemy is loud, pervasive, and persuasive. Its ultimate goal is to steal, kill, and destroy—physically, ultimately, but your confidence will do. So when you hear “You don’t need to do that” or “You’re doing too much” when you know deep down in your heart that God told you to take action, that’s a good sign it’s the enemy trying to kill your confidence. Let that thought go in one ear and out the other.

God said He will make your name great (Genesis 12:2). He said you will be the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13). He said you will be the lender and not the borrower (Deuteronomy 28:12). He said He will not leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). The enemy is lying. Don’t listen. Move forward knowing that God said He is covering you and that better days are ahead.
