People often ask what my favorite part of longarm quilting is. Is it the machine? The thread? The ‘crinkle’?
Those are great, but the real answer? It’s you. 🤗
One of the greatest joys of the last 6 years has been the relationships I’ve built with quilters all over the country. I love that front-row seat I get to your creative journeys.
Sometimes, I get to watch a beginner grow in confidence, stitch by stitch. Other times, I’m stopped in my tracks with total awe at the artistry an advanced quilter sends my way. 😍 Plus I’ve gained an entire community of amazing longarm friends through the that are like my virtual work family.
Whether you’re local and we’ve shared coffee, or you’re across the country and we’ve only ‘met’ via shipping labels—I’m so thankful for your friendship and for trusting me with your masterpieces.
This community is why I’m so excited for February 27th. I wanted to find more ways to support you beyond the longarm, which is why the new shop will have 108” wide backs, custom quilt labels, and premade binding. Think of it as me having your back (literally!) for every step of the finish.
Tell me: How did we meet? Are you a local friend or an internet bestie? 👇

I think I’ve found ‘The One.’ 😍
If you’ve been following along, you know I’m a sucker for a good pantograph, but Songbird is officially at the top of my list. My client, Elisha, used these iconic Tula Pink fabrics for a charity auction quilt, and the pairing is just chef’s kiss. 😙 🤌
I’m obsessed with the tattoo-style flair of these sparrows. It adds such a cool, modern edge to the traditional quilt blocks. Plus her choice in contrasting purple thread was a stand out selection. It’s feminine but feisty—just like a Tula print should be! 🕊️✨
What do you look for in a panto? Are you team ‘texture only’ or do you love a design with a clear story?

Of all the quilts I’ve worked on over the last 6 years, this one holds a special piece of my heart. ❤️
My sister and I made this together for our grandmother during a time of grief. It was a true labor of love and a total team effort (or dad was even visiting from across the country while I was longarming it). My sister did the piecing, shipped it to me so I could longarm quilt it, but when it came to the finish line, we did a ‘binding hand-off’ in person - at our grandma’s house.
I used my Partial Binding Service (machine attached to the front only)—where I perfectly attach the binding to the front so it’s secure and ready to go—and then my sister spent time hand-stitching it to the back to give it that classic, heirloom finish for Grandma. 🧵✨ The best memory was that she was finishing the binding while sitting with Grandma talking about how she loves that we share this craft together. Grandma had no idea we were giving it to her until she read the quilt label - and cue the collective waterworks. 🥹❤️
There’s something so meditative about finishing a quilt by hand, but let’s be real: doing the binding prep can be the most frustrating bit!
That’s exactly why we’re including Pre-Made Binding in our big February 27th website launch. Whether you want it prepped for your own hand-stitching or completely finished by me, I want to help you get those quilts off the ‘to-do’ pile and onto the beds of the people you love.
Are you a ‘Team Hand-Stitched’ binder like my sister, or ‘Team Machine-All-The-Way’? Tell me below! 👇
