CHEVAL// One year. That’s the time this custom mirror required. With lines this clean there’s nothing to distract from any imperfection. We made full scale mockups to ensure everything was perfect. This step isn’t something that is common - but for me - it is imperative. It needed to fulfill a list of requirements and special details. At 7ft tall - scale a proportion. Hidden pivot hardware - what’s available does not meet our standards. And, of course, craftsmanship that is excellent. Well worth the effort and the wait.

COMPLIMENTS// troweled walls in softest gray, floors in a tonal compliment will be meeting solid oak vanities - brushed,stained,glazed so that the grain remains though it works as a partner and not the focus . Finish work Cheyne Sexsmith

PATIENCE// A custom Floral Graffiti - they created for this project in 2021 finally installed and paired with the new mahogany door that made my distressed dreams come true to age it as if it were found. Cast bronze Steeple hinges + stunning k**b (also 2021!)

WANTS// Give them what they want- in this case - client wanted a television that could be seen from the game room, at breakfast or while cooking. I wanted art. Shelves always require “stuff” that can quickly become cluttered and forced. Less is more. AI helping make the vision come together

BROKEN// so many random edges and broken joints for this basement bathroom at our Bouldin project. Simple with presence.

WORN// What looks like a worn,found,and reclaimed door is actually a brand new mahogany door built to fit- that we took through many steps to achieve this intent- contrast the new and modern with it’s opposite. So far a favorite in this project.

PORTAL// Flemish glass blurs the climb and allows the light to travel. Blackened steel entry door. Simple. Contrast. Texture.

PATIENCE// We purchased these slabs for the kitchen of this renovation project in 2021. Yes, 2021. The So, it’s only fitting that these cast bronze edge pulls were five months lead time. Great things take time. Sometimes years. You just keep going.

MATCH GAME// Lines meets curves - and eventually a glass box. Every thing planned so that ceiling aligns with the wall and the floor. The cabinetry fronts will also mirror the exact pattern
