PSA if you live in Texas: Have you driven around at all this week? Get your car washed, or at least rinse it off thoroughly soon.
The brine solution that was sprayed *everywhere* to try to prevent ice development on roads is corrosive for the metal components of your vehicle. It can lead to rust development especially underneath your car where there isn't a protective layer of paint.
Get everything rinsed off on your own or run it through the carwash if you can.

For my customers in the music industry: I don't post much on here, but I wanted to take a minute and remind you to take the Greater Austin Music Census. It's going to help everyone get a better idea of what you need, so the people that want to help you can do it. I hear about how hard it is for you just from working on your vehicles, so I'm sure there's more for you to tell. Anyway, answer their questions so you can get more support!

Not sure who scared who more! Was called out to get this vehicle running that’s been sitting for two years. Pandemic note: Auto repair is considered an essential service, so we will continue to serve customers in need of repairs for no-start, no-run, or safety components like brakes, steering, or suspension. To keep this to essential needs only, we will hold off on routine maintenance until the shelter-in-place is lifted. We are already practicing social distancing and sanitizing door handles, steering wheels, gear shifters, keys, etc., as well as sanitizing our hands, and will continue to do so. Payment should be made digitally to avoid exchanging checks or cash. We will continue to work as long as parts are available and we remain well/symptom-free.
