Old slide that really should say low-maintenance, as you've got to check connections and tighten wires from time to time.

Launched!
This website has been a work in progress this past year, as we've been traveling the country, relocating to , and trying to decide its future.
It's now full of information about how to create a solar system to suite your power needs, what components are necessary, the differences in the most popular batteries, and even a couple boondocking locations.
If you visited in the past and wished there was more information, I'd recommend another visit and doing it from the comfort of your PC in a comfy chair accompanied by a beverage & snack. It's informative.

We're excited to announce another install road trip! This one takes us from Austin to Maine and everywhere in-between.
We want to meet you! Without MTE or SEMA, this past year has been kinda lonely. Whether tacos, tequila, or tranquility, we're always down. Send a message!
I'll be posting the route in a couple days. Get on it!

Come enjoy the sunshine with me
I just published a new and improved version of the website.
Not finished, as there are some links and final items to take care of, but certainly improved.
Go check it out - solnarwhal.com
We always have fun showing our solar powered mobile detailing rig, and we're crazy appreciative of EZN Storage, Detail & Retail and Detail Bookie for having us out
Bear with us as we're currently updating the website with loads more information

Have you been planning where you're equipment can go? Check out these setups for inspiration.
Some considerations:
1. Batteries are big and heavy. The lead acid are 12"x24" and 3 -4 are recommended. They should be over the center of mass or an axle.
2. Since they don't typically need much maintenance (connections need tightened, water topped off), you can fix a shelf right over them for storage or the other equipment
3. The inverters, charge controller, and battery charger can be mounted to a wall or under a shelf
4. At the end of the day, it's your van. We can offer suggestions and logistic tips, but you want it to be convenient to how you work.
