This weekend I finished up this cute little box I’ve had since 2019!! It was originally an onion and potato box and I’ve been holding onto it forever with hopes I would find a great design for it. I definitely had some fun with this one!! I love working with repeat customers who trust and allow me creative freedom. I was told this adorable nightstand was going into a dragon themed blue bedroom in her daughters new home and to have fun with it. Well, I took one look at those claw feet and knew I was turning those legs into dragon legs, scales and all!! 🐉 I found this amazing decoupage dragon paper and added it to the top and blended all those amazing colors together. When the nightstand was picked up today, I was told her daughter is writing and illustrating a children’s book about a dragon and was shown these amazing drawings her daughter drew…..well to my surprise they have a striking resemblance and similarity to the nightstand dragon! I guess I made some good designer choices without even knowing how close our dragons would be! Amy Jo Coveno thank you again and again for trusting me with these furniture projects in your and your daughters homes!! I hope your daughter loves this! 🐲🩵🐉

SOLD: This fully refinished bedroom is the perfect set for that special princess in your life! This antique 1930s Tell City Furniture Company bedroom set is solid wood with dove tail construction drawers and original caster wheels. Painted in a classic white chalk paint and silver gilding wax used to highlight all those pretty details, and then sealed for a lasting finish. Beautiful drawer liners were installed throughout, along with new drawer pulls. All drawers slide perfectly.

Off she went…. This piece came in looking a little sad and needed a refurb. This buffet has been through generations and generations of my clients family and she wasn’t ready to part with it, but wanted to see it brought back to all its glory with a modern twist. I sanded and stripped the legs and top to bare wood, restained and polyurethaned both to their beautiful new finish. The interior of the drawers and cabinets were also restained to match the new legs and top. The body of this pretty buffet received new paint and sealer, and on the interior drawers I applied complimentary drawer liners to finish off the overall look.

This table base and chairs went home today!! My client had a beautiful unique enamel table top she wanted to keep as is, but the table base and chairs were in rough shape! As I began sanding these pieces to remove the original black finish, I soon came to realize there was not one, not two, but SIX layers of paint!! It took me hours upon hours to get through all that caked on paint! Ouch, my arms and elbows didn’t love that. 😖 Next came the repairs….all of the dowels on the chairs had to be reglued, the edges of some chairs were chewed by dogs, the drawer was in pieces, the structure of the table was weak and unstable. Piece by piece I put it all back together again with glue and screws, wood bondo, some new wood, and time. The client picked this stunning gray and asked to use some dark wax in all those groves and details. Here she is, all put back together.

This pretty lady went off to her forever home. I just love all these colors mixed together! My clients daughter wanted a fun and bright desk, so I helped design and hand pick the colors and the stencil for this look and couldn’t be more happy with the result. This desk needed lots of repairs; the veneer was lifting everywhere, the back panel was split into 2 pieces and it was covered in glue and tape. After the body was repaired, I started in on the fun part of painting, installing drawer liners, new hardware and cleaning and spraying the old hardware!! Here she is! Before pics at end ➡️

SOLD: This refinished buffet is available to take home today!! The top was stripped to bare wood and stained in a beautiful dark walnut stain and sealed with 4 coats of polyurethane. The body is painted in a neutral gray/blue to match any home decor and the sides are adorned with a classic stencil. Stunning drawer liners along with new gray velvet were installed in the drawers.

Another happy customer! This dark and drab all black kitchen table set was in much need of some brightening up. My client loved the set as it was the perfect size for his home and it had a built in self storage leaf, but he didn’t love the dark color. He was looking for a similar look to his existing dining room table, so I started by painting the legs and chairs all white and then used a mix of browns and grays and created the gorgeous wood grain on the table top and chair seats. The combination really put life into this set and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result!

Beautifully refinished French Provincial secretary desk. Painted in a neutral beige chalk paint with slightly darker interior. Stunning copper highlights and new hardware adorn the exterior. The drawer sides display a beautiful copper and silver stencil and the interior has a new drawer liner. Four cubbies and an interior light finish off this potential hallway or office piece. Sealed with 3 top coats for most durable finish.
