After vs. before:
Bathroom for a family - open shelving provides ease of use but easily looks messy. Out of reach items should be least used and best looking. Keep the kids’ stuff where they can get to it, of course! And where you can easily retrieve when needed.

I love kids’ rooms! After/before unpacking into a new apartment. Still need more bins and shelves but a great start!

My entryway. I love hooks! I don’t have enough space for a coat rack - but they tend to bury things anyway. I love having everything I need to go out right by the door!

After vs. before:
Entryway for a family with two small kids and an au pair. With so many hands, it’s helpful to make categories general and easy - eg separate kid and adult things.

After/before craft room - still in progress but so much better! It’s overwhelming to work in a cluttered space.

I love these so much! Was keeping a lot of random stuff here but refocused on the things I love seeing every day. This makes me so happy!

After / before baby supply dresser! These bins and organizers were found elsewhere in the apartment, now clean and ready to store diapers, wipes, & other essentials.

As you organize, it can be helpful to use temporary labels - post-its, index cards, whatever works.
