Hyacinth Heaven!

For as long as I can remember, hyacinth bulbs have been planted in just about any vessel that takes my fancy, from vintage jelly moulds to royal family commemorative mugs. Nothing is safe when hyacinth planting begins!

Their heavenly fragrance and pretty flowers are just the thing to bring a little joy indoors during the winter months. All that is needed is a bulb, a little soil and some moss to finish them off beautifully.

A little seasonal ritual that never loses its charm.

PS. The blue hyacinths are always the most fragrant, in my experience!

Back to basics!
A little personal notebook this week, as I find myself revisiting and exploring the subject of blinds!
Whenever I think I’ve made up my mind, I have to take another look and question my choice all over again!
Relaxed Romans, pretty frilled edges, a little ruffle at the top, double blinds and an 80’s Venetian!
Each has its own personality and can completely change the feel of a room.
I rather love the way these small details can make such a difference. Classic, practical and timeless, yet each with a very different story to tell.
Now only I could make up my mind!

I do rather love a cabbage, particularly when it arrives in the form of china!

There is something so wonderfully whimsical about cabbage ware. A little unexpected, a little eccentric and, in my opinion, absolutely charming.
Our newest pieces have just landed on the website and I can see them being used in all sorts of ways. On the table for a rather fabulous supper, mixed in with your everyday china, or simply displayed on a wall because, frankly, they are far too pretty to keep in the cupboard.
A touch of the garden, a dash of English country charm and a whole lot of personality!

My world!

Reminiscing on such a fabulous fair last weekend The Country Living Fair.

Loved showing our GB antiques, homeware, fashion and candle line, and seeing it all come together in the barn.

It was also so lovely meeting some amazing vendors, and of course discovering beautiful handmade knitted cardigans from Maridruna that I absolutely fell in love with!

A beautiful time was had by all.
