01. Staffing - Effortless service requires the right number of hands.

We prioritize food & beverage staffing in direct correlation with your guest count, service style, and event flow. A line at the bar? NEVER heard of her.

02. Rain Plan - A thoughtful contingency plan ensures a functional celebration, regardless of the forecast.

This year we have seen far more inclement weather on the weekends - and we were always prepared with an efficient rain plan.

03. Restrooms - Guest comfort should never be an afterthought.

Where are the restrooms located for EACH portion of the event, are they accessible, and do they hold up to the minimum 1 per 50 guest ratio?

04. Lighting - Essential for ambiance, functionality, and bringing the design to life.

Is uplighting needed, where and how efficient is the power access, is a generator needed, can we go battery-operated on other portions of the grounds, where can we utilize dimmers?

05. Labor - Proper setup, transitions, and breakdowns are nonnegotiable.

Don’t get me started on the importance of a SOLID production team. To me - attempting to cut this line item has the potential to completely derail your event. Quality production staff is ESSENTIAL.

06. Temperature Control - Comfort is the foundation of true hospitality.

Strategic umbrella placement for optimal shade at the ceremony, a white top tent for the summer, enclosed walls with air conditioning and/or heaters, and general layout placement based on time of year.

Don’t worry y’all - still no baby over here!!! 🤰

I’ve had so many amazing friends in the industry and previous clients reach out to me to see how I’m doing - and I can’t tell you how much that means to me!! 🥰

Our due date is October 30th, but I’m hoping Baby Avery graces us with her presence anytime now!

If you are a current client or interested in inquiring - we’ve got you covered! Our amazing Director of Operations, Samantha Trader will be answering emails as needed during my 1-2 weeks away from my desk. After that - I’ll be back to my inbox and taking meetings (because I’m a psycho who loves what she does for a living).

We are so excited for our 2027 and 2028 clients, and can’t wait for Baby Avery to come into this world!! ❤️

What a better time to discuss a good old rain plan as a hurricane approaches the gulf! ⛈️

Praying for our colleagues in all the Deep South this weekend as you execute your inclement weather plans. 🫶

But really let’s talk about it -

Here’s what our contract requires for all events in the Southeast USA, and what we advise the majority of our clients on:

1. Plan A - Your Reception MUST be covered. That can be indoors or tented. No exceptions. We strongly encourage tent flooring for Plan A if the terrain for the reception is grass, soil, sand, etc.

2. Plan B Part 1 - We require a hold on an additional tent OR an adequate indoor area to accommodate your guests for your ceremony. Period.

3. Plan B Part 2 - We advise our clients individually based on their guest count and venue if a tertiary tent or indoor space is necessary for cocktail hour. Because ~sometimes~ a strolling reception can “absorb” cocktail hour. Or there is an indoor existing space that can partially accommodate cocktail hour.

What we will NOT do:

- shove all of your guests into a small space
- leave all your rentals out in the rain where damage fees start climbing into your bank account
- “flips” where we are switching out and scattering tables and chairs while your guests stand in the rain or a small space and wait

What we WILL do:

- Have a structured plan in place for multiple weather scenarios approved by our clients and all vendors
- Work diligently with your creative partners on the most efficient plan possible
- Confirm all outdoor rental inventory is strategically placed and covered to avoid additional fees
- Ensure their is still natural flow for your guests in the case of inclement weather
- Work Plan B into your budget without sacrificing design/aesthetic
- Make sure our clients love BOTH Plan A and Plan B
