The United Legal Workers of Chicago is a unit of the National Organization of Legal Services Workers.

The ULW represents all non-supervisory employees of the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago.

Union strong!

70% of current #LegalAidChicago employees were hired since 2019. Many of those who’ve remained have only been able to afford to do so because of student loan payment delays. Our staff attorneys are especially affected by this, as the average person graduates law school with $130K in student loan debt according to the ABA. Our clients don’t deserve to loose their attorneys when payments resume!
