Think you need a shaper to make specialty molding? Think again. šŸ‘€
I was commissioned to make this piece of molding to match a section of the original molding that was missing from a 100-year-old piece of furniture, so I had to recreate it from scratch.

No shaper. Just several router bits, a table saw and a bandsaw — and a whole lot of patience. šŸ˜… The goal? Make the new piece look like it had been there for the last 100 years.

Pretty darn close, if I do say so myself. šŸ˜‰ What do you think?

I’ve been making these little wooden bud/propagation vases lately and I think they would make the sweetest gift for a grandparent or mom.ā¤ļø You know those little ā€œflowersā€ (aka weeds šŸ˜‚) that grandkids pick for you and proudly bring home? What better place to put them than in a little vase made just for those treasures?

They are available in walnut and white oak. They measure 8ā€ tall, 7ā€ wide at the base and 2ā€ thick and come with a test tube for ability to use live plants and can be personalized for that special person.

They are perfect for a little flower, a clipping from the garden or whatever pretty little thing gets picked along the way. 🌼 Sometimes the simplest gifts end up meaning the most. ā¤ļø

There’s something pretty special about helping another small business bring their vision to life.
These custom serving boards are headed to The Tipsy Tomato Restaurant and W**e Bar and it was so much fun watching them come together. From cutting them on my Onefinity CNC, to drilling the handle holes, to adding the finishing touch with their logo on my AtomStack Laser.
This is one of the things I love most about what I do. Small businesses supporting small businesses, creating something that's made to last and made with care.
I can't wait to see these boards being used to serve great food and make memories around the table. Thanks Tipsy Tomato for trusting me with your project!
If you're a small business looking for custom pieces that reflect your brand, I'd love to help.

One table. A little vision. A lot of sawdust.
Come watch this old tabletop become a handcrafted scalloped cutting boards!
We’ll be bringing pieces like these to The Garden at Nacoochee Village on June 21 and would love for you to stop by and see them in person.
Can’t wait to see you there!

I’ll bet you didn’t know your JET drum sander could do this… šŸ‘€
One of my favorite little shop tricks. Stack the boards just right and the sander pulls the next one through automatically. Not life changing… but when you’re sanding a mountain of boards, it sure feels like it šŸ˜‚

If you’ve ever tried drilling shelf pin holes by hand… you already know the stress. šŸ˜‚ Measure, re-measure and somehow they’re still crooked. This jig keeps everything perfectly spaced so the shelves actually sit level without fighting it the whole way through. Simple tools like this are worth their weight in gold in a woodshop.

ā€œI trust this more than glue. Any day.ā€ It’s not the flashy part of a build, but this is what keeps things solid for the long haul.
Pocket holes have been around forever for a reason. They’re simple, strong and they just plain work. I use this setup on just about every piece that comes out of my shop.
You won’t ever see it in the finished product… but years from now, it’ll still be doing its job. That’s the kind of craftsmanship I care about.

For these book-style boards, what belongs on the spine?
1ļøāƒ£ ā€œBread & Cheeseā€ — honest, traditional, made for use
2ļøāƒ£ Book titles — something personal, something worth keeping

Vote below—and if you’ve got a title in mind, I’d love to hear it.
