Indoor tanning linked to deadliest skin cancer in women A recent study by researchers at the University of Minnesota found that if you use, or have used, an indoor tanning bed, you are two to six times more likely to develop melanoma than those who did not.
Tips to prolong your airbrush tan:
Shower, shave and exfoliate like crazy!
Wait 10-12 hours to take your rinse shower
Don't use bar soap and try not to shave as often
Hot water, chlorine, salt water, and not keeping your skin moisturized will result in faster fading
I like to use coconut oil to seal in my color and keep skin hydrated
Also, use a self tanner or gradual tan lotion to prolong appearance of color and to assist with even gradual fading
Don't scrub the skin and pat dry after shower.

Getting a jump start on your summer tan by hitting the tanning booths? Melanoma may be in your future. Tanning bed exposure is not the same as sun exposure, and is not a safe alternative.
