We’re not doing much these days, but when your nephew requests a wooden sword….you make a wooden sword.

Brittany took on a little refinishing project. The table was beat up and they wanted to go a little lighter on the finish to match their cabinets, but still keep some of the distressed look. Turned out great!

We’ve been pretty quiet for the last year with lots going on outside of woodworking. We did take a special holiday commission that Brittany knocked out in a day! She did 95% of the work on this and it came out great!

We’ve been quiet for a while as we’re not taking much business these days. We have actually been working on projects for ourselves. We purchased this ice box that was made sometime before 1921 and decided to convert it into a bar cabinet. Brittany did most of the work on this one because I was busy building a guitar, and frankly….shes a badass at furniture restoration. About the only help I lended was moving it around and making the shelves. I think she knocked this one out of the park!

Mostly done! Temporary neck on while I’m building the neck for it. Video coming soon of how it sounds!

And yes….we failed and didn’t film any of the build. That just means we have to build another one I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

Updates on the guitar build. Decided to leave the finish natural because the mahogany with black grain filler looked just too darn good to cover up! Copper shielding, electronics, and neck installed. Had a small chip break off by the nut so we have that in glue. Maybe we’ll have it ready to play tomorrow!

Now that it’s been delivered…we made this little table for my brother because he didn’t have any tables of any kind n his new apartment. He told me he didn’t believe in tables because they’re just government spy drones….so I had to make sure he knew it wasn’t one of those. Made from a slab of mango. Turned out great!

Grain filler sanded back off and it’s looking pretty good! Next up is some ColorTone vinyl sealer and then….FINISH! Spraying tinted Nitro on this one. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
