There's beauty and magic everywhere on Christmas Day, but the true soul of today is right here.
THIS image right here captures the spirit of Christmas. Gaye Frances Willard was able to truly encompass the reason for the season in this painting, reminding us all that underneath the lights, the music, the presents, and the overall chaos, this Sweet Baby is where our focus needs to be.

As an Artist, It would be appalling to me if an observer decided that he/she would feel that they have the right to paint over a piece of my Artwork because they found it offensive. Art is Art. I as an Artist spend countless hours, days, weeks and sometimes years, painting a piece of Art. Who gives anyone that observes my Art, and finds it not to their satisfaction, the right to paint over my Art or discredit it?
This is a very large piece of my Artwork that took me over a year to finish. Is this piece of Art offensive because it could look like an Angel? I hope not. As to not offend observers, I named my piece โ Madam Butterfly,โ when I really wanted to name it โ Madam Angel,
โ I should just call my Art as I see it, and not concern myself as to what other observers think...who agrees?
