Walk into most new homes in South Florida and you meet the same palette: white walls, pale stone, glass, and black metal. It photographs beautifully clean, and in person it can feel like a hotel lobby. Before a good designer adds anything else, they usually fix that with a single move, which is one piece of solid wood.

Wood does what stone and metal cannot. It shows its age, it warms the light that falls on it, and it gives the eye one place to rest in a room made of hard surfaces. One piece is usually enough, and the restraint is what makes it work.

The entry is where that choice matters most, because it sets the tone for every room behind it. This console is a waterfall build: the top and the leg come from the same board, joined at a 45-degree miter so the grain turns the corner without a break. It is one of the least forgiving joints in woodworking, since the angle has to hold across the full depth and any mismatch in the grain is visible from across the room.

We hold every large dining table we build to that same standard. The console is often the first piece of wood a guest sees in a house, and the table is the one they end up sitting at.

Which room in your house is still waiting for its one piece of wood?

HOLZSCH® TUCO — a 40 x 96 inch solid Saman dining table, seats 8, with an aquamarine resin river.

Saman runs warm and golden. The aquamarine cuts through the center like water through sand — poured to follow the natural split in the wood, so the river bends where the grain bends. No template, no straight line. Every one lands differently because every slab does.

Built to order at 96 inches and up. Your length, your resin, your edge.

Would you pour the aquamarine, or keep the Saman clean?

A LARGER ROOM DOES NOT NEED A LARGER STANDARD TABLE.

It needs a table planned around what actually happens in the room: how the chairs pull out, how people move behind them, where the light lands, and how much visual weight the architecture can carry.

Standard tables scale up shape. They do not scale up planning.

HOLZSCH® builds custom large dining tables from 96 inches and up — solid walnut, oak, stone, resin. This 106" solid walnut with a smoky gray resin river on a brass Arch base seats 10 and is ready to ship. Custom dimensions and materials on request.

HOLZSCH® TUCO — solid Saman, built as a large dining table and nothing smaller.

Saman moves. Wide open grain, colors shifting light to dark across a single top, no two boards the same. It's the kind of wood that earns a table this size — the bigger the surface, the more of the grain you actually get to see.

Every Tuco is built to order: your length, your finish, your edge.

Which grain would you want running down your table — tight and even, or wild like this?

HOLZSCH® — a 8-foot walnut dining table with a blue resin river, blue leather chairs to match.

Walnut runs warm and dark. The blue cuts straight through it — a resin river down the center, picked up again in the leather of every seat. One color decision, made twice, so the table and the chairs read as one piece instead of two purchases.

That kind of match only works when the table is built to order. You pick the resin, we pull the leather to it.

8 feet, large enough for 8 people.

Would you run the blue, or keep the walnut clean?

HOLZSCH® — 18 feet. Seats 16.

This one went into a high-rise on the water. One continuous top, live edge, dark resin down the center, wood and acrylic bases so the run reads light against the glass.

Eighteen feet is the comfortable size of what we build.

Comment your dining room length. We'll tell you what fits.

HOLZSCH® SHIELD — a 42 x 96 inch solid oak dining table, seats 8. Look at the base.

Most large table bases are just a structure. The Shield’s base carries its own resin river, poured to match the one running through the top. The line doesn’t stop at the edge of the table. It keeps going, down into the floor.

This one was hard to hand over. Resin poured to follow the natural river line between slabs, hand-finished until the grain sat right under the light.

Then it went to Texas, which is the whole point. We build large dining tables, 96 inches and up, and they go to the rooms they were built for.

Would you have run the river through the base, or left it clean?
