These pictures represent some of mine and Rebekah’s trip home from Atlanta the beginning of this month. I had no idea what laid in wait when we returned home.
I had so much excitement to share when I got home! But the Lord had something else in store for Dave, Becca, and I. I’m just sharing now because honestly I couldn’t do much else for the past 12 days.
The first picture, the bridge, somewhere in St Louis, Mo. spoke to me about the things we cross to get from here to there. We may not want to go through the aforementioned “things” but they are necessary. And thank God we have that bridge to make it easier to cross. The bed represents our last night away from home, I love my own bed. And little did I know how happy I would be to have my own bed to rest in upon my arrival home.The Huge tire, represents oversized loads we tend to carry, folks we don’t have to carry these heavy loads on our own. Jesus said in 1 Peter 5-7,8
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
And boy oh boy was evil ever waiting to devour us. The nasty bathroom, represented that things aren’t always as they seem. Walking to this rest area this bathroom was beautiful and green, (see picture) gave us hope for a beautiful clean restroom. The rest speaks for itself. The chocolates represent the fact that you sometimes need something stronger than you to keep you alert and awake to make the journey. Sugar free coffee beans to the rescue. Lots of prayer, and loud music also help! The last picture shows how tired we were. Becca never sleeps in the car! Like me! Matthew 11:28-30 says…28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
I know I’ve left some of you in the dark about this past week. Just know that I praise God and give him all the thanks for our health. Please don’t take your health for granted, it’s a precious gift.

Last weekend Rebekah and I attended the most powerful, encouraging, uplifting convention ever! It was truly amazing! I was so inspired and grateful to be part of such a wonderful company that truly cares about people. The picture below represents the team I’m personally a part of, all of them I consider friends, true friends.
It’s so funny (ironic) how the enemy swoops in and tries to tear you down when he sees you elevating to the next level. He will do anything in his power to set you back. But, this set back I’ve had since I’ve gotten home from convention has given me time to reflect on the amazing people I got to meet, and think more about the stories that the wonderful leaders shared. Everyone has obstacles, and fears, everyone.
This obstacle I’m going through right now is just a little interruption. I’ll be back soon with so much more to offer. ❤️ Joy
