We've done three food photo sessions here over the years, and Captain Parker’s Pub still has us coming back hungry every time. There’s just something about a Cape Cod classic done right: iconic, delicious food that looks as good on camera as it tastes at the table.

Overlooking Parker’s River in West Yarmouth, Captain Parker’s is a family-friendly favorite that’s open year-round. It’s a reminder of everything we love about the Cape, from the water views to the cozy pub vibes to the kind of meal you want to share with everyone you know.

And can we talk about the merch? Their crewneck sweatshirts are iconic, and honestly the best fit out there. If you know, you know.

A day in the life of a social media manager on Martha’s Vineyard, fall edition. It starts with coffee and both local papers, catching up on everything happening around the Island in the MV Times and the Vineyard Gazette.

Then it’s off to meetings, always taking the scenic route so I can soak in the foliage, the stone walls and that golden October light along the way. In between calls, I’m popping into the local shops that are open to see what’s new for fall, and yes, spending a little of that hard-earned summer money right back into the businesses that keep this Island going.

The shoulder season is when our local spots need us most, so this is my reminder to shop small, eat local, and show up for the places that show up for us all year. Who’s on your fall list this season? Stop in and say hello!

This morning we attended the MVY Chamber's State of the Island at the Harbor View Hotel, and the conversation centered on AI and what it means for our community.

The VHBA Fall Social took place at Althea Designs in Vineyard Haven this evening, and while Marnely couldn’t make it, our friend Leah stepped in to soak up the energy and grab some content. There is nothing quite like this community - thanks Leah Fraumeni ✨ Visit Vineyard Haven
