Art On A Limb A Community Art Project presented by the Eastern Shore Art Center & Committee on Public Art Fairhope has been YARN BOMBED!

Just over 40 teams of artists have decorated the downtown trees of Fairhope in colorful coats over the weekend in the latest Eastern Shore Art Center community art project “Art on a Limb”! Artworks were installed Saturday, September 10th and will be up until September 30th. Councilman, Jack Burrell, and Owner of Mobile Yarn, Heidi Sunday, judged all 43 trees Saturday afternoon and after a tough deliberation, announced the winners at the Fairhope Welcome Center. A People’s Choice Award will be announced at the Art Center’s closing celebration, September 30th. You can vote for your favorite tree at its corresponding business. Just check the sign in front of the tree and drop a donation in the business’ ballot box. Ballot box donations go to the Art Center’s community outreach efforts! Tree Maps are available at the Art Center, Welcome Center, and online at www.esartcenter.com
