He’s only been there 3 months and is already out of time because he’s one of the longest residents. He is a regular playgroup player, consistently social and playful with other dogs. He can be high energy in his play but takes correction well from others. He is loving, eager to please, treat motivated, and engaging. He loves his toys and will happily play fetch or play on his own. Even the shelter groomer reported that MATTY has a friendly demeanor, accepted bathing well, was willing to listen and follow his handler, enjoyed receiving attention, and was well behaved during his time out. It is incredibly heartbreaking to think that a nice dog like this will lose his life due to no fault of his own. But the LA shelter system is in true crisis, where healthy, friendly, young dogs like MATTY are being euthanized due to over population. He needs FOSTER, ADOPTION, or RESCUE to save his life. If you can help this sweet, young boy, please contact the shelter with a committed plan ASAP. An exit plan needs to be in place by WEDNESDAY 12/10 at 8AM.
