Seven years ago, I thought painting furniture was all about the finished piece. The perfect color. The flawless finish. The transformation. But the most important thing I've learned is that the real gift is learning to slow down and enjoy the process.
Somewhere between the sanding, painting, waiting, and waxing, I realized that not everything in life is meant to be rushed. Some of the best things take time. Furniture refinishing has taught me patience, but more than that, it has taught me to find joy in the work itself instead of constantly chasing the next result.

This dresser belonged to my client's grandmother and now it's going to be in her nursery to welcome the new baby.
What an honor it is to be invited into such special moments and memories. Working with pieces that have already lived full lives but being given a new chapter is something I truly treasure

Today’s project was a quiet one just a frame, waiting for the right story.

This piece sat with me for a while.
It felt too big and too detailed. It was one of those projects you keep walking past, telling yourself you’ll get to it later. The dread of starting felt heavier than the work itself.
But once I finally began, it wasn’t nearly as overwhelming as I had built it up to be. And somewhere along the way, that dread turned into momentum and then into something I’m really proud of.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the work, it’s pushing past what we think it will feel like.
