Day Spa — Middle East

For this boutique hotel spa, we designed a seamless journey from arrival to changing, bathing and retreat, allowing guests to move intuitively through each space.

Privacy, proportion and light are considered alongside the tactile qualities of materials. Every surface, furnishing and detail contributes to both comfort and atmosphere.

Stainless steel sits against hand-chiselled rock, bringing industrial precision together with natural texture. These materials reflect the spa’s advanced approach to wellness while grounding the experience in something elemental and tactile.

A place that feels personal, calm and quietly luxurious.

Capitol Penthouse, featured in the November issue of Belle.

High above Melbourne, this home was conceived around our clients’ lives, travels and collections. We refined the existing spaces through richly textured fabrics, stained oak, natural stone and a considered mix of vintage and custom furniture.

With expansive glazing and little wall space, furniture takes on a sculptural role, becoming part of the art within the home. A palette of cream, bronze and chocolate connects the rooms, balancing generous spaces for entertaining with more intimate places to retreat.

For us, the enduring quality of a home comes from a personal connection to rooms that reflect their owners and continue to feel relevant over time.

Thank you to and .tanyabuchanan for the feature.

Macedon Ranges

Once a boarding house divided into small apartments, this historic home has been reconnected as a country retreat for longstanding clients.

We reworked the planning while retaining the details that give the house its character: original doors, panelling, ceiling details and the imperfections that come with age.

Dior grey and cream provide a quiet backdrop to green cabinetry, rich walnut and an extensive art collection. Antique colonial wicker chairs from Java sit alongside mid-century pieces, custom furniture and objects collected through travel.

The pleasure of this project was bringing those different periods and influences together to create a relaxed, personal home that reflects its owners and respects its past.

WOODEND - BEST RESIDENTIAL

We're delighted to share that Woodend House is a finalist in the Best Residential category at the Belle Fanuli Interior Design Awards to be announced in November.

Set in the Macedon Ranges, the house blends European vernacular influences with a contemporary approach to living, emphasising proportion, natural materials, and craftsmanship.

Our work encompassed the building design, interior design, and furniture, allowing us to consider every element together. This cohesive approach creates a home where the architecture, interiors and decoration feel entirely connected, each strengthening the other.

Thank you to , .tanyabuchanan, , and the judges for recognising our work, and to our clients and everyone involved in bringing this home to life.

ORIGAMI BONDI

“Interior design is an incredibly intimate and personal art form. It shapes how we live and how we interact with the world.”

For this Bondi project, we took inspiration from Japan. Shown here is the lighter interior scheme, Hiru, the Japanese word for daytime. It is shaped by natural tones that respond to the harbour, coast and changing outlook, creating interiors that feel calm, refined and intuitive.

Generous scullery kitchens are designed around entertaining, while beautifully detailed walk-in robes, bespoke concealed storage and considered display spaces bring the same level of attention to the more private rituals of everyday life.

Throughout, custom marble detailing and crafted timber joinery elevate the interiors, bringing individuality and a distinctly residential quality to every space.

World’s Top 100 Interior Designers of 2026

Honoured to be included among the World’s Top 100 Interior Designers of 2026 in Interior Design Review — Volume 30.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the publication, often referred to as “the Bible of interior design”, documenting three decades of international interior design.

Having worked in design for much of that same period makes being included in this milestone edition even more special.

A wonderful recognition for our studio and everyone who has contributed to our work over the years.

PERIOD HOUSE, REIMAGINED

When redesigning a period family home, we don't simply restore what was there or strip away its history. It is about understanding the strength of the original architecture and then confidently adding another layer.

Here, the proportions and period detailing are retained, but the interiors gain a completely new character through strong material choices, contemporary and vintage furniture, art, and decoration. Marble sits against original detailing, while sculptural forms bring a different energy to the more traditional rooms.

The result is a house that retains its history but feels entirely relevant to the way a family lives today.

Architecture

We design houses from the inside out, starting with how people will live in them and how the architecture responds to its setting.

For this Brisbane house, modernism informed the architecture with strong horizontal planes, clear structure, and honest use of materials. Glass walls open the house to internal courtyards and gardens, letting spaces flow between inside and out and making the most of Brisbane’s warm climate.

Stone, glass and polished metal give the architecture strength, while natural light, landscape and shadow constantly change the experience of the house throughout the day.

A modernist house designed specifically for the way Brisbane is lived.

FAMILY HOME

A family home where everyday living is considered as carefully as the decoration.

The television disappears behind bespoke joinery, turning a practical necessity into a defining feature of the room. Rich timber, textured panels and heavily veined marble create an architectural backdrop, balanced by comfortable furniture upholstered in embroidered Armani fabrics.

For me, great design is not about adding more; it is about resolving everything, including the things you don’t want to see.

WOODEND HOUSE

This house was designed from the ground up for a couple downsizing from their substantial Mount Macedon home in Victoria’s Macedon Ranges. More intimate in scale, the new house balances the warmth and informality of country living with a more refined interior approach.

Natural materials, textured walls, vintage and contemporary furniture, art and collected objects give each room its own character. The restrained palette lets proportion, texture, and individual pieces define the spaces.

Comfortable and relaxed, but with a level of detail and sophistication that moves away from the traditional country house towards the feeling of a European villa.
