Benches are done for this table. When we moved here (over 2 years ago) we were eating on plastic table and chairs. Now there are only 2 plastic chairs left. So I guess 2 chairs are in order ☺️

A days work in a few photos. Glued up bench tops, madrone and elm smashed together for these. Fat 3/4”x 1 5/8” (1 1/2 depth)tenons. Mortises to match and an angle cut off.

A lot of adventures these last few weeks with family coming and going and coming. It’s been so wonderful! Only a couple days left of them 😭 then back to the regularly scheduled program with the added work of getting ready for school. Hope all your summers are going well!

March of the trolls of Maine. 😍 my sister has been in town for a few days with my adorable niece and we had many adventures. This being one of them. My sister took some amazing pictures while I just got pictures with people in them haha

It’s always fun to figure out how furniture, especially 7’ long furniture will fit in the van, but it always does. This couldn’t sit on its feet in the van with the seats flat to the floor, so they had to be just hinged in half and the table upside down. Then it fit 😂

Working on this wall tree that will be a coat rack. Shaping is in play now. I’m working to get this done and off the bench by end of week or beginning of next week. Hard to tell when you have 4 kids at home that also need friends over and transportation to friends homes. Haha awe summer :)
